Setting Up Your Profile
- We will be creating your eRA Commons account at the beginning of the summer. This requires your full name and email. If you already have an eRA Commons account, please let Adrienne and Micaela know. Creating duplicate profiles will only cause further administrative delay.
- We will create a profile which you will be alerted via automated email from eRA Commons. This email will contain a link prompting you to fill out your profile.
- In order for us to route the appointment, you must input your citizenship and degree into your personal profile. This is required before we can send you the appointment.
- After your citizenship and degree is added to your profile, we will route your appointment.
- In some cases, you may have to include your ORCID ID. If you have trouble accessing this information, please reach out to Adrienne or Micaela.
Routing the Appointment
- Once the appointment is routed to you, you will receive another automated email from eRA Commons.
- By logging into eRA Commons, you then navigate to xTrain. This is where your appointment will be located:
- Once under xTrain, you should see the grant pop up with the PI as Wu, Joseph C.
- Click on the grant and scroll down to the bottom. At the bottom of the page, there should be an option to ‘Save and Route back to PI.’ No specific comments are required, but the form may require something to be added into the comments in order to send back. Please go ahead and either add none or N/A.
- You have now routed the appointment back to PI! Next step is the terminations.
Routing the Termination
- Repeat the beginning steps from above. Terminations require the same exact process as appointments.
