Check-In

Key pick-up is at the GovCo Service Center: 589 Governor's Ave, Stanford, CA 94305 from 8am - 8pm.

If you arrive after hours and the office is closed:

• Call CARE at 650-725-1602, who will be able to meet you at the service center and provide you your key.

The dining hall will be open for the first meal following your arrival. See Dining section below for more information.

Check-Out

Students can check out any time between 8am and 5pm on their departure day at the GovCo front desk at 589 Governor's Ave, Stanford, CA 94305. If the GovCo team is out of office, there is a black metal drop box directly next to the office front door, with envelopes and pens so you can put your key in an envelope, write your name on it, and place it in the dropbox.

If you do not check out by 5pm on your day-of-departure you will be charged for each additional day you stay.

Rooms

• Students will receive a key for the dorm room.
• Some rooms may have small fridges, however this is not guaranteed.
• All of the common areas are accessible to students, including the lounge on the first floor.
• There are no fans in the rooms or AC units. It can get quite hot in Palo Alto during the summers, so you are encouraged to purchase or bring your own fan if you would like one.
• The rooms are all furnished with the following available per student: desk and chair, extra-long twin bed (including linens), small bookcase, small dresser, wardrobe, mirror. Waste and recycling bins are also available in each room with nearby dumpsters for emptying. See FAQ below for suggestions on what to bring.

Laundry and Linen

The dorm has a free laundry facilities, but students may have to supply their own detergent if not available in laundry rooms. Shopping centers on campus may be more expensive, but there is a free Marguerite shuttle that goes to nearby shopping locations (CVS, Trader Joe’s, Walmart, Target).

Linens (including sheets, a pillow, a towel, and washcloth) will be provided in your rooms upon arrival.

If you need new linens, you can contact the housing service center to organize an exchange. Upon your departure, you may leave all linens in the room.
