Students are expected to attend all CVI summer program events, which will usually fall between 9am and 11am PT on Wednesdays and Thursdays. If these times conflict with established lab meeting times or important experiments, students are excused from attendance.

In addition to working on their lab projects, students will participate in the following programming during the 8-week program.

• Training Workshops
• Seminars in Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Science, Scientific Research Methods, and Professional Development topics
• Social Events - 2-3 throughout the summer
• Summer Research Symposium on July 30-31
  • AHA SURE Symposium July 29-30
• Optional Office Hours - once per week, usually Thursdays

Stanford Events

CVI Summer Students are welcome to attend many events at Stanford throughout the summer. The Stanford Events website has links to register for numerous seminars, workshops, and other events. Events that are open to all students, Stanford Affiliates, and/or the general public will be clearly noted. Events that are only for Summer Session students are usually restricted to students enrolled at Stanford.

Students should only participate in these events if they do not conflict with their lab responsibilities.
