Base SUNet IDs

All students will receive a base Stanford SUNet ID for the duration of the program. The base SUNet ID allows access to the Stanford WIFI, library resources, and some other Stanford systems. Some services or resources, such as email accounts, require a sponsored SUNet ID.

Please contact [email protected] or the program administrators if a sponsored SUNet ID is required and provide the justification.

Sponsored SUNet IDs / Stanford Email Accounts

Some university resources (e.g. Box, Sherlock, Epic) require a sponsored SUNet account for access. Additionally, students only have access to Stanford email accounts if they have a sponsored SUNet ID, as opposed to a base SUNet ID. Students may have their SUNet IDs sponsored for the duration of the program if:

• The student requests SUNet ID sponsorship to facilitate finding housing using SUPost.
• The student’s mentor requests SUNet ID sponsorship to facilitate access to university resources or systems (e.g. Box, Sherlock, Epic, etc).
